Artist History
Biography:
While living in Ireland, I began my musical interests in a blues band playing saxophone and harmonica. After realising that I could sing better than the lead singer I began singing covers and quickly taught myself a few chords on an acoustic guitar and started writing my own material in the band.
Due to unforseen circumstances I ended up in England and began to recruit like minded individuals to form an ‘indie’ band with the intention of playing the same indie bollocks that every other band were playing. I gave up on this after a few years on the understanding that I would never recruit another pre-madonna. I find it more conducive to song-writing if I use other musicians as and when I need them. This way I have the control and one hundred percent devotion to do as I wish with my material. I enjoy writing as and when it suits me.
I have recorded quite a few songs on my computer with acoustic instruments – mostly of a singer-song writing nature but involving lots of different instruments – vocal harmonies (which I love), acoustic guitar/bass, penny whistle, tablas, radio, percussion, harmonica. I love experimenting with different musical styles and genre and as a result the sound tends to be a very much left of centre affair from very slow majestic vocal harmony pieces interweaving guitar riffs to strong melodic pop.
I hope you are able to take the time to listen to a song or two – and I thank you for your interest.
I also have other sites on vitaminic.co.uk and peoplesound.com.com with further free tracks.
