Artist description
LIFT has been pounding out the minds of greater San Francisco Bay Area citizens since their forming in October of `99. Just two weeks after becoming official, they hit the street and played their first gig and with only 4 songs had the crowd chanting their name.
Formed as a union of two groups of individuals who had always worked well together, the moment their first session together began they just clicked and have been demonstrating that perfect match ever since, falling into the sound that would set them apart, surely from other “garage bands”, as well as anyone else they would share the stage with.
With such a great response from the fans that they were continuously acquiring, they decided it was time to hit the studio. In mid October of 2000, LIFT released their full-length, 9-track debut entitled “Ruckus”.
Made up of strong, heart-rumbling bass lines, thick but melodic guitars, and hip-hop to hardcore rhythms, along with melodic singing and rapping, to heavy - deep and throaty vocals all backed with a very energetic and fast paced live show make this a band that you can't help but check out again and again.
