Artist History
formed in a turkish refugee camp in 99,
sisters of the husky, mark spaeder and andy st. john
nursed jack kelley back to health and a complete conversion
from working guy, to wannabe rock star. Along
with sock puppet star Shaun Gilmour the girls soon learned
that music was there callin' so they up and moved
to music mecca pittsburgh pa and started a rock band.

Press Reviews
These guys from Pittsburgh should go on tour with Boston’s Pennywheel (see other entry): both groups pursue a similar vein of edge power pop with mildly glammy sensibilities. In other words, the same nervous energy that propels bands like Actionslacks and the Rosenbergs -- and the Happy Accidents are right up there, though I think they could try a bit harder lyrically. But it’s hugely fun party music, and they know how to keep their songs short. “Rollover” is easily their best work, an imaginative bit about escapism writ large. Check out their equally imaginative Flash video at their web site (www.thehappyaccidents.com), then get them to play at a college or two near you.
