Artist History Official Denial's history begins in 2000 (6th grade for the members). Ben (drummer) wanted to start a band because of how good his brother's was. So he told his frends to get instruments to start a band. In a matter of months Eric had a guitar, and dave had a bass. We still had no vocalist though. For awhile it was just us, then we had Gabe join as vocals. We practiced for a few weeks, and were offered to play a show at a party. We had only been playing for about 3 weeks, and could only play 2 covers, but played never the less. That was our first show 2/24/01. We practiced for a few months, and learned to play another cover, and we made 2 original songs, (Hero and Growing Up). A few months later we played at an end of school party (6/22/01). A few weeks later we played another show (7/7). A few weeks after that we finished our third song (Everything I've Grown to Hate). We've finished our 4th song America's Dream. We also finished another cover, self esteem. We also just played our craziest show yet, nov. 17. However, eric recently quit right before a show and we had gabe fill in. It didnt turn out too great, but we recently recruited Derek, and he will have learned all the songs shortly. Oh yeah, we finished our 5th song before the 1/25 show.
