    Artist description
Abortion Clinic is on a mission to deliver audiences from the bland, mumbled singing, drop D tuning, and either too fast or not fast enough music that currently exists. The music is fresh, has the energy and brevity of punk, the power of metal, combined with a sense of humor. The music stands out clearly from the rest of the formula bands out today and the vocals are actually enunciated properly and clearly. Bands like Stormtroopers of Death, Iron Maiden, Sex Pistols, Megadeth, and Alice Cooper influence their music.

    Artist History
Abortion Clinic was originally conceived by Erasimus Worthington Fairchild IV and was brought to life with the help of drummer and songwriter Phenius Cage. Cage had been playing professionally under a different name in original acts and Iron Maiden tribute bands (Innocent Exile and Killers). They brought in 16-year old prodigy Slam on guitar to help complete the songs. In the summer of 2001 the band brought in Slam's friend Biscuit on bass, who is actually a guitar player by trade. Abortion Clinic enjoys the fine balance of new blood and experienced veterans to create unique music and theater. Their debut CD "Premature Birthulation" is a 14 song CD and is now available (released 7/1/2001) at HMV Records in the Solomon Pond Mall, Marlborough, MA, all New England Newbury Comics locations, Al Bums Records in Worcester, MA and coming soon on-line to Ultimatemetal.com and to even more record stores through the area and beyond. Songs such as "Anal Vapor", "You Suck", and "Eat the Dead" are reaping great reviews and getting regular airplay on WAAF's Bay State Rock.

"Just recieved this in the mail the other day from Phenius Cage the drummer for Abortion Clinic. When I recieved this cd I was still pretty depressed about the passing of Chuck Schuldiner. So I put this in my stereo and by the 2nd song I was almost in tears from laughing so hard. These guys are wicked funny, they're a cross between D.R.I., S.O.D., M.O.D. with Mucky Pup thrown into the mix for the humor. I read the song titles at first and they seemed kinda like similiar bands of their style. But after reading the lyrics on songs like "Euthanasia" and "Anal Vapor" you can help but laughing your ass off. Then I'm sure the song "Veal" will be sure to raise some eybrows of people into animal rights. Not that these guys would care about that. Then "Cranial Intercourse" is kind of an instrumental with drums and a moog synthesizer. It's very trippy but an interesting instrumental. Kinda makes you feel as if you're in a old outerspace flick at times. Then the other prize of the cd is the track "You Suck" not much to go into for details on that. :) If you want to hear more from them check out their site http://www.abortionclinic-usa.com . And check out their sound samples while you're at it." -http://home.talkcity.com/BackbeatBlvd/sadus/ "This is a trip through humorous lyrics, punky/thrashy thick riffs, nicely collected and executed drumming and all around fun attitude. One look at the amusing album cover told me that I was in for something different than the average Metal album I get in for review. This is old school crossover Punk/Thrash/Metal/Hardcore all the way ! If you like D.R.I., RAMONES, M.O.D., S.O.D. or other punk/metal crossover bands from the eighties then here is a band from Massachusetts, USA that youŽll really get into. Each song is short which makes the album a high energy, quick run through and the production is rather old school sounding but very well thought out and did I mention heavy ? With song titles like 'Anal Vapor', 'You Suck' and 'Veal' how could you go wrong ? Check this band out at their official website: www.abortionclinic-usa.com and pick up your copy of their debut album today or IŽd have to say: You Suck !" -www.metalgospel.com "I must say that the musicianship found on Premature Birthulation' is better than anything a pre-fabricated, mainstream 'heavy metal' band could do. I'd rattle off some band names...but you know all the ones I'm talking about. Yes folks, Abortion Clinic is a metal band. Uncommon to my site because I'm a hardcore kind of guy, but I got a free copy of the cd and said to myself...why not? Anyhow, like I said, the musicianship is awesome...considering they have one guitarist who does lead and back up guitar and bass...no one else." "I'd have to say I really like the drumming style. I've known bands to over do the drums, or put in way too much double base, but Abortion Clinic makes it obvious: a drummer's ability is not based on how long you can hold a double bass rhythm. All together it all blends with Slam!'s (the one guitarist) playing to make a very heavy, organized, and well thoughout album" -www.theundergroundscene.net "Anal Vapor?" -Rocko from WAAF "I'm liking the anal vapor tune
The recording came out nice and the band sounds really tight. Who comes up with these lyrics? I like them! It's nice to hear a heavy metal music that is about something other than death and destruction and about something more amusing, like anal vapor! Can't wait to hear more. Keep up the good work!" -MarkZ "and I thought all the original band names were taken." -post from alt.music.rock-n-roll.metallica
