Artist description After two years of heavy touring, supporting The eels critically acclaimed debut record Beautiful Freak, Tommy Walter decided to go home, concentrate on his own songs and formulate a new creative focus. Working almost entirely alone Tommy wrote and recorded his demos in a home studio. Armed with only an eight-track recorder and a few instruments, Tommy created a diverse and engaging collection of homemade demos that combined pop sensibility with the spirit of indie rock. They range from the melodic to the chaotic, but all share an introspective and sincere quality. Abandoned Pools, the band, is the next step as Tommy is now putting together the line-up and practicing in Los Angeles. The record, titled “Humanistic” will be out soon with a release date scheduled for September 25th. The first single will be a rock anthem called "Mercy Kiss".
