Artist History
Formed in early '99 HaVoK set out to make some killer music. Taking a year to grind thier music to a good level before thier first show. Then thier original bass player left, so they started scouting, and they eventually found Jae Littleton to fill the void. That made the original band that performed at Tombfest 2 in mid 2000, Matt Woodland: Vocals, Mike Markus: Drums, Christina Martin: Guitar, and Jae Littleton: Bass.
Now the quartet is back to three members with the departure of Woodland. They are in search of that "one voice" to once again be the focal point of the music.
In the meantime they still practice and write new songs till that day when the band will become whole again and wreck HAVOK upon the Ohio Valley music scene,....and beyond.........
Now,......all that is over....... |

FAV. BANDS- Korn, Slipknot, Static-X
INFLUENCES- David Silvaria (Korn's drummer)
EQUIPMENT- Yamaha stage custom drums, Sabian Pro Series Cymbals
WHY I PLAY- The music that I listen to and play, brings me joy. If it's not loud, hard, heavy, or metal, then....IT SUCKS!!! When I play I can express myself in the song by slammin' on the open hi-hat and just layin' into the snare and bass, if it's an anger filled song. If the song is more on the eerie and or dark side, the toms will do the job nicely! But I always let the cymbals do MOST of the expression. JUST MAKE IT HEAVY!!

EQUIPMENT- Fender Fretless four string Custom Jazz Bass, and a Dane-Electro Longhorn four string freted bass (oops dont have that one anymore! I smashed the fucking shit out of it at Tombfest 3.0!).
WHY I PLAY- I play because the voices in my head tell me to! They also tell me to kill people too......but I know they're just joking when they say that! (or are they?) hmmmmmmmmm.....Now where'd I put that cobalt blue double barreled S-mart special 12-guage with the hair trigger?...........MY BOOMSTICK!!!!! Life sux then you die.....then you get eaten by worms....gross...worm food.....yummy!

Press Reviews
There was a review about HaVoK's debut album in the Wheeling newspaper "The Intelligencer". It was written by Jennifer Banks, and she came to Tombfest 3.0 in mid 2001 to fully review us and our fellow local bands.
The article was nothing short of "praise" to say the least!
More to come....... |
