Artist description
Jamie Purnell's live perfomances have benn called, "enjoyable",
and his songwriting, "prolific without sacrificing quality".
Jamie has been a singer / songwriter for 12 years.
His catchy, heartfelt, and worldly-wise songs are derived
from his own experience, and range in mood from very emotional
to foot-tapping, good-time music. Jamie started writing songs at
age 18 on a guitar he found in his grandfather's closet.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Jamie once played regularly in
the same club where nationallly touring act Rusted
Root got its start. Jamie is now based in the Raleigh, NC area,
where he is gathering interest in local venues. All of
the sample tracks you will hear were produced by Raleigh's own
Ray Tims, a member of the Mark Allen Band and the Tims Family Band.
Jamie is currently working on a CD, which will be available soon.
