Artist History
44 dead was spawn from the band "entropy." After several member changes the need for a new band name that was unique and captured the heavier, more aggressive sound of the new lineup was apparent. On July 19, 2001 the band became 44 dead. After about 8 months with drummer Matt Gold, the band and Matt decided to amicably part ways citing personal and musical differences. In April 2002, 44 dead added drummer Joshua Favela. Joshua's similar drive to the rest of the band members and tight and energetic drumming has helped to take 44 dead to the next level. Since April 2002, 44 dead has quickly ascended up the New Mexico metal scene ladder to become one of New Mexico's most popular metal bands. |
