Artist History
Vox One's a great jazz group that just happens to sing a cappella. They are all products of the Berklee College of Music, a Boston school renowned for turning out great jazz musicians. Vox One is true to the tradition: their performances always include improvisation. In borrowing from a rich instrumental and vocal heritage Vox One has created the first a cappella group who sounds like they'd be as comfortable in a smoky jazz bar as in a concert hall. Every album this incredible group has produced resulted in numerous Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award nominations for music and for the singers themselves; in 1998, the international panel of CARA judges voted Vox One Contemporary A Cappella Artists of the Year. |
