Artist History
Hap and Rip Robertson were both born in Texas, while Rob and Rip were born in Kentucky and legend has it they learned their music from their eccentric grandfather, Sleepy Robertson, who was musically inclined and often fiddled with his whiskers. They made their debut as a singing/playing folk/bluegrass group on the Grassy Knoll Radio Hour hosted by legendary bluegrass musician Happy Twang.
The Robertson Boys have played before the President of the United States (since, to their knowledge, he hasn't learned to play bluegrass yet) and spend most of their time on tour or working the Robertson Farm in Texas. |
