Artist description KAT features singer Kat Heikkila, guitar player-songwriter Luis Cardoso, guitar player Geordie Haley, bass player Gary Green and drummer Robin Easton. Formed in October 2000 as a duo, KAT eventually expanded to a 5-piece band and performed regularly at landmark Toronto clubs such as the 360, C'est What and the Horseshoe. KAT disbanded in May 2002; however, all members still perform throughout the Toronto area.

Artist History KAT was formed in October 2000, when Kat Heikkila and Luis Cardoso began to showcase their songs as an acoustic duo. Within a month and a half they had an arsenal of 10 bright, new songs. Shortly thereafter they added Geordie Haley on lead guitar, electrifying their music with a depth and resonance far beyond that of an acoustic duo. In January 2001 the band released a 3-song demo CD to showcase their unique material: glittering hooks and sparkling melodies shone on all 3 tracks, Trapped, Tripsy-Traipsy and Big Light. KAT has since performed in some of Toronto's most popular live music showcase clubs, including C'est What, the 360 and the Horseshoe - and has expanded to a full 5-piece band with the addition of Robin Easton on drums and Gary Green on bass.
