    Artist History
Dyseason has no political agenda or message in their music. Dyseason likes to play hardcore rock'n'roll with good grooves to get the audience dancing, or moshing, or whatever. The Dy-boys just play music because they love it, and love playing tough rock'n'roll music. Ah the story of dyseason, what a long winding road it's been. Dyseason is the combined efforts and extreme talents of: Jakob Newport (guitars), Mike Greaves (vocals), Jake Simonson (drums), Jason Buttens (guitar) and Brian Wise (bass). Dyseason is from the greater Vancouver, Washington/Portland metro area. Now for the story of dyseason, and all the gory details. Like most bands dyseason didn't start out as dyseason, oh no far from it. The seeds of the season were sewn when Jakob N., Mike, and old drummer Nick joined forces to rock. Well, as you can probably see we since replaced ol' drummer Nick with Jake S. Afar more superior drummer, and way cooler dude. Jason joined the band at the same time as Jake S. as second guitarist. Jason was also a part of the band in the Nick years but left the band for reasons no one really knows of. With the core of the band in place, the band wich would become dyseason set out to rock, nu-metal style! Thats right kids, dyseason was once a nu-metal outfit with a style similar to: Slipknot, machine head, soulfly and mudvayne. During this period dyseason made most of their classics of which they have now since abandoned. Also during this time Brian joined the band as the bassist. He joined just before dyseason's first show which was at the Roseland's!!! battle of the bands!!! Thats right folks the Roseland. And as of now dyseason says fuck the roseland and screw selling tickets period! Sooo a lot of other shit happened too, but i dont feel like typing all of it out so if you REALLY want to know email us and ask or ask at a show. Now you may be wondering how did dyseason go from nu-metal, YUCK!! To hardcore rock'n'roll???? Well, heres a short version of how that happened. Jake S. was into hardcore music i.e Dillinger Escape Plan, Poison the Well, Throwdown, Botch, Candiria blah blah blah...He introduced this music to the rest of the band and we dug it! At this time Jason was still into more nu-metalish stuff and Jakob was still stuck on the 80's music and death and black metal music. Jakob got sick of the whole tough guy Satanist death image, and found that hardcore was to be a great escape from all the too similar death bands. Jason also fell for the grooves of the hardcore music. Mike was already kind of into the hardcore scene with Jake S. WIth that dyseason became the Hardcore rock'n'roll machine it is today.
