Artist description
United in 1998, Tadpol have broken the mold
of boring, uninspired local hardcore and
alternative acts by injecting the Northeast
Ohio scene with a 900 kilogram dose of
Tri-Chloro Zen Metal. A more potent substitute
cannot be found or derived naturally.
Copies of their first piece of self-produced
audio propoganda, "Fig. 1" have made their way
into the lucky hands of hundreds of Northcoast
denizens. Additional shipments were made upon
request to fans all over the U.S, Europe and
South America. "Fig. 1" was also launched into
space on Feb. 6th, 2001, and more zero-g tests
are in the development phase. It's not flat
black metal, it's not ultra-mopey jangly
alternative, it's not Sugar Frosted Punk
Pops - it is an uncontrived percussive and
tonal bolus with a positive lyrical aftertaste
- something fetal for anyone who enjoys the
raw and the atypical. The album has received
outstanding reviews from Revue Magazine,
Music's Bottom Line, and Columbus Alive, all
citing the band's musicianship, creativity,
and integrity as strengths . The kids, they
love the Tadpol - they make their own shirts
with Tadpol logos and designs from "Fig. 1" on
them. The band's sound has been compared to
Primus, Tool and System of a Down, mostly for
the fact that as a band, Tadpol is something
unique, deft and potent in it's own right.
Onstage, Tadpol has no mass, as they sublimate
into pure energy. Bizarre slide shows, lab coats,
and pre-show sacrificial offerings are the
hallmarks of the Tadpol live experience.
Songs for their second release have already
been recorded and the final version of the
Tadpol videogame "Escape from Guitar Central"
is nearing completion. Play the demo version

Press Reviews
With a sound that hearkens back to the
pre-exploitation days of grunge, they
certainly have a handle on filtering out
the bullshit.
Each member's performance smacks with the
hunger they have for total world domination.
Hopefully, if Tadpol does capture major-label
success, these guys will stay true to the vibe
captured on this record, and not fall into the
treble-deaf hole of Los Angeles filth production.
