Artist description
I started out as a singer song writer, mostly jamming out abstract tunes at my neighborhood coffee house in Salt Lake City. I pretty much learned how to play by ear. I come from a very musical family so instruments were always around. I would sit in my dad's studio with my headphones cranked up blasting the latest alternative songs that were being played on the radio. I would jam along until I got the basic jist. I was always experimenting with different chords and alternate rythms. I would hop from one instrument to the next until I could play all the parts.
I was always most confortable behind a guitar. When I started playing for other people I noticed that there was definately some kind of chemistry there. My style was perfect for setting the scene at house parties. After playing a few of those raging cagers other musicians started noticing. I was and still am always down with colaberating with talented musicians. Although no permanent band was ever formed I would perform under the band name Serene Explosion. Serene Explosion was basically me jamming with any combination of a number of local musicians. We played extreme ski competition after parties in the canyons along with a few clubs and bars on the Wasatch Front.
When I was 19 I took a road trip to California with some friends and I never left. Ever since then I've been pursuing a life in music both as an artist and in business. I played with a hard rock act called Railed for about a year. I was playing bass for them and I loved it. We played all around Hollywood and the Sunset Strip consistantly bringing a solid grip of fans to each show. It was a great introduction to the L.A. music scene. At the beginning of 2002 I decided to actively pursue a record contract of my own. I have been recording demos off and on for Brian McKnight, Tim Fehan, Rob Cosio and a few other industry vets and am currently seeking gigs, management, publishing and a record deals. |

Artist History
I've been working in the music industry and recording with a couple different producers out in Los Angeles for the past two years. I started out playing bass then drums for a while. When I was about eleven I started playing guitar. Over time I started blending the poetry that I had been writing with instrumentals I would come up with on my acoustic guitar.
Over the years I started playing with tons of different musicians blending styles and playing allot of house parties around Salt Lake City. In 2000 I moved down to Los Angeles in an atempt to get closer to the entertainment industry. Since then I've been working at Capitol Records in Hollywood through a temp agency which has allowed me to get a very good grasp of what it takes to sell records in this industry. I play solo and acoustic at cafe's and coffee houses around Southern California. I'm hoping to build a solid band to take on the road.
Currently I'm recording with Rob Cosio a producer/pro tools guru in Glendale CA. In the past year I have writen and recorded under a number of producers of various backgrounds and I hope to take my music to the people in 2002. So sit back, relax and check out the music! |
