Artist History When she was 16 years old, her uniform was a beloved jeansjacket, with a Saxon pin proudly stuck under the collar and big sprayed hair. She was a real rockgirl! -again she sees herself as a rockgirl, some years later. This time with inflences from her life, so the "rock" is more sofisticated, with some pop and R&B mixed into the whole. She does have a jeansjacket, a new one... that part of her will never change. She has been looking for the perfect musicstyle, the perfect songs, the perfect voice, -"And that can take some time, let me tell you!, she says. Mid '90s was spent as a eurotechnoqueen in the group West Inc. They released 5 singles in less than 2 years and was first signed to EMI and then to Virgin. She loooved it, but as time passed, she realized that she had grown out of it and quit in '96. As backup for several singers, she gained experience but no satisfaction. The different dancegroups she toured with around Sweden, gave stageexperience and appreciation. The danceband she tormented for two years gave sence of pitch, but also total boredom and the hatred for carrying big darn heavy speakers around, was born. Her rockn'roll band and the work as singing waitress gave knots on her vocalcords. Even the short carreer as a tourleader/guide (Eddie Medusa) contributed to the progress in life...(!???). As hostess and also writer for TV-show "Varför Inte?" in '97 got herself into TV... But thats actually a different story. In the fall of '99 she released a CD single called "Vem tar hand om fåglarna?" This career in swedish pop music ended with this one song only. It was played quite a lot though on the radio during that time. During the whole time she has been working on new songs and sounds and she really feels that she has found the "ME" in the music you have right here. Recently she's had a fantastic review on musical network; deo.com. She was right there on the front page with the headline: "Real music from Mimmi Siegel..." Very nice indeed! Together with producer Jan Destner they are making HER music.
