Artist History
Biography
1979 - At the age of 12, I sang my first solo on stage at a local West Palm Beach theater. We were doing Okalahoma the musical
1981 - By the time I was 14; I cut my first two songs. Just doing that for fun (I sang to Charlie Pride’s Kiss an Angel Good morning and The song Rocky Top)
1982 - The very next year I started singing in the chours at my old high school (North Shore High School in West Palm Beach)
1985 – By the time I graduated High School and getting awesome grades in my chours class, I realized that I wanted to sing professionally.
1998 – After being married then divorced and raising my daughter, I happened to get the need to sing once again. So through some friends I meet Beau Deutsch (A local entertainer) who got me back up singing again.
This same year I started HTR Entertainment
1999 – In January of 1999 I landed my first gig as an entertainer (That lasted three weeks). In February I started my second gig. Little did I know that I would be playing there for a year. But I started making a name for myself. I also competed in my first professional competition with the FCMA of Palm Beach County. I had taken an interest in writing songs, so I sat down and started writing my first song “Loxahatchee”.
2000 – I soon started receiving requests from different nightclubs around the West Palm Beach area and from other counties such as Broward and Martin counties. I competed in my second contest out of in central Florida. I placed fourth place out of sixteen people and starting in the sixteenth position.
2001 – This year has gotten off to a great start. So far this year I have preformed and coordinated a major benefit for Hospice of Palm Beach County where I helped raise over $20,000.00. I also started my life long dream of recording and performing my own songs. My first album “Fresh Out Of The Gate” seems to be off to a great start. With the aid of my daughter, who is now 10 years old, and a good friend Pete Andrew, who is also a very talented artist and musician, we wrote the title track.
Future plans – I have high hopes that the work we are doing now will be successful. I also have hope that I might get my break that I so desperately desire. Until then I will keep doing my best and I refuse to give up on my dream.
