PIECEAMIND
Biography
With Hip-Hop Headz getting older and older its become apparent that this genre of music has not only been setting trends in music, fashion, film, books and dance, but has also done what no other form of music has yet to achieve, bridge the gap between children and their parents. With original hip-hop headz in their thirties and forties now, soon kids will be saying “dad, did you hear that new DMX single?”... in another ten years they will be saying “grandpa, did you hear that new Jay Z joint?”.. and what makes this whole thing funny is that grandpa will be saying “no doubt son”.
Enter into the game 21 year old Jason Perry a/k/a PIECEAMIND. Born into this world a genuine product of hip-hop culture, PIECEAMIND exemplifies all that is Hip-Hop. Raw uncut lyrics, spitfire delivery and topics that range from growing up in the drug game to letting his daughter know how much he loves her. Raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, New York, PIECEAMIND experienced first hand what it’s like to witness a murder. At the age of 16 he was shot two times while his childhood friend, Gutter, lay mortally wounded no more than six feet away. Life changing instances like this in our lives tend to spure dramatic changes in us. Today PIECEAMIND takes a pen to the paper to release his frustrations. After continuously performing the New York underground circuit and recording like a workhorse, PIECEAMIND is now ready for National Exposure. As part of a team of individuals dedicated to this game, namely Jay Peso & Omar “Animal” Steele of TRAUMA-U, PIECEAMIND has the support of producers and “people in the streets” to help him get out there. With production by Buns Burner, Jay Peso and others, PIECEAMIND is a hot minute away from stardom. Once the masses of young and older hip-hop headz are exposed to PIECEAMIND’s Rawness, a new star out of Brooklyn will be born. Its about time!!!
