Press Reviews
Sangue Demonio The End Of An Era 1984-2002 By Rod Hefling -Gothique R Magazine. Translated By Ria Ferez)
There's a Morbid fascination to this band whether you like the music or not you are compelled to watch and listen, with Paric Raifs dark tones not everyone's taste but they have tried different vocals, but the fans kept calling for paric who seems to be some sort of ritualistic symbol to the older generation, and with an average band age of 44 and a fan base of more senior people (You don't see many kids at these shows), I regret to hear that the band our retiring, even the SD website had to be changed, they tried a more plain formula but there was so much uproar that they had to change back to the comic book appearance of the now defunct Italian site. Well what held this band together, for a start they are all excellent musicians, there are no weak links here, and secondly, there's so much variation in their styles, from extreme thrash numbers to wonderfully strange ambient ballads, you won't hear anything else like it, well not at the moment anyway to
an excellent selection of fun songs that seem to be more popular these days than the others, the reason for this in my opinion is that although they are comical they still present an overwhelming sense of quality and seem to be very well thought, take a track such as Vampyre Asylum I can't see any other band other than Sangue Demonio getting away with it, from the leather bound ladies to paric in his slippers I shall miss this band very much...(excerpt courtesy of Michelle Devoir)
SANGUE DEMONIO 1985-2002 BY CATHY MEYER (CORNSHEER INTERMEDIATES)
November 12th 2002, was a sad day for Many Sangue Demonio Fan's as Paric finally hung up his six string for a life of relaxation, so we thought, but rumours are about that it might not be over, in a recent interview Paric hinted that they might carry on for a while after an extraordinary amount of grieving fan mail, lets just hope. I was privileged to have witness the last show in England of all places on November 12th and when the 48 year old Paric walked on hardened Sangue fan's just went silent as if they just Knew it was the end, One thing that has always intrigued me about this band is their level of fitness their all getting on a bit Villio(44),Belethias(40)Sanulka(37)Loire(43) but take it from me these are not your typical girls next door,Paric once made me laugh when talking about the weird and wonderful Belethias "She Stands Out At Airports" The once late night Dutch cable presenter replaced the late Laurali Kraken who sadly died of cancer in 2000 after a long battle and is extremely popular with Sangue Demonio Fans, she also kicks a mean keyboard and guitar, well onto the show it featured 18 tracks as follows..Fuckubus/Demon Lover/Vampyre Asylum/Morbid Romance/Silent Harvest/Runic Insemonoid/ Seeds Of Tranquillity /Drums Of Berlin/ Morlia/Hesperin/Queen Of Lust/Never Never Never /Night Of The Vampyre /Black Castle Of Amatious/WolfWoman/Kentucky Phantom/Ultimate Vampyre/Darkened Love, all went smooth with the usual precision ive never seen many live cockups by this band the only thing that caught the crowds eye was the fact that Sanulka's outfit kept slipping .anyway it was exciting stuff and I just pray this band comes back again because I have never ever seen anything like it.
