Press Reviews
Reviews of the Profile This CD:
It's not everyday that you come across a debut record as solid as this one. Bullet Train To Vegas is made up of ex-members of Give Until Gone among other bands, yet they play straight up rock similar at times to bands like Hot Snakes, Sparta, and Pretty Girls Make Graves. That being said, they also manage to carve out a sound that is completely their own with Dan Sena's unique vocals at the forefront. In a day and age when most "rock" bands don't rock at all, Bullet Train To Vegas comes as a refreshing change of pace. The future looks brighter.
- STATUS MAGAZINE #18 April/May 2003
With the name, I was expecting a Drive Like Jehu tribute band. Aggressively mathy with melodic tempo changes nod toward At the Drive-In rather than The Hot Snakes' discordant noise textures. A more traditional rock approach shows their SoCal punk roots, but injects it with more accessible energy.
