True Lipstick plays glittering emotional music frighteningly well...these are great songs. -- Melody Maker ---------------- The songs are very well written with enough interesting changes to keep geeks interested but without ever degenerating into mere riffing. The music is commercial but still possessed of merit -- a difficult balance. -- Seattle Arts Review ---- Vocalist/guitarist Noah Andrews' vocal stylings draws up images of a pouty rock star playing up to the audience. This is not necessarily a bad thing- just look at Jarvis Cocker of Pulp. Isn’t that what he’s all about? The music of True Lipstick is very guitar oriented, mainly bordering on the jangly and the more bigger sounding rock stuff. Perhaps kind of glam-ish.
