Artist History
Torque was founded in May of 1996, when they formed the band, Stomp. They changed the name to Torque months later. The line up of Adam White, Col., Pork, and SCO'D was joined by a third guitarist, Revets in October of 1998 adding a third and very powerfull guitar. Sadly, Adam left the band one year later in October 1999, putting Torque back at a solid four man unit. With two guitars, and a thick-as-a-wall drum and bass guitar sound, hearing TorQue will be an experience you won't forget. |

Press Reviews
This is one review thatwe have recieved on "Wrath Rock" from HM Pirate Fanzine. Enjoy. TORQUE - Wrath Rock 7/10 "I’ve received this audio material on a blank CD and just popped it into my CD player in order to hear what those guys wanted to tell us. I sat in front of my computer and started to write some new materials for new issue of a ‘zine, but…hey, what’s happening ?! Is this some kind of mistake, is this some well-known band with many releases behind them or is it really that… Torque? The killer riffs hit me directly into the part of my brain where the detector for perfect music creations is hidden. I’ve payed the full attention on every tone and, Jesus it was good. There was really everything I need to keep my old metal metabolism running: speedy and energetic riffs, razor sharp drumming, clean precise bass and furious vocal attacks that fits perfectly into the whole conception. The whole material also could be presented as a brutal combination of break neck tempo and mid-paced passages which are there just to excite you better and prepare you for another sharpen assault of power and high voltage. Simply said, it’s one extremely varied and well produced album where every instrument can be heard clearly. Except that, those well-skilled and obviously very talented musicians led me back to the empire of good old thrash and this album is really something that is worth to be heard and I am honoured to include this marvellous creation into my favourite CD collection." |
