Artist History
The trio members met three years ago while studying jazz at Humber College in Toronto, Canada. They had run into one another while working on musical projects with other leaders, yet did not come together as a trio until the Fall of 1998. The Tekken Trio quickly discovered a very unique sound, thanks to common interests in musical direction, and quickly developed a reputation as an intriguing group. Their playing has been described as being extremely musical, dynamic, expressive, virtuosic, and aggressive. Jeremy, Kori and Steve are great friends who are without a doubt pushing the envelope of modern jazz. |
