Artist description
The Geminus Sect is composed of twin brothers Xevin (guitar/keys/vox/prog) and Xayne (bass/drums/vox/prog). Their music is a furied yet melodic hybrid of rock, industrial, metal, and techno. The group is signed to the Cleveland-based label Sin Klub Entertainment, and the Sect's songs can be heard on MTV's Making The Video and Jackass. The band's image, complete with "...half-cybernetic skin, various cyber cylinders and tubes, and gas mask-clad mannequins" (Lloyd Barosa, 11/00) can be described as an H.R. Giger painting come to life or the Nelson twins being gang-raped by the Hellraiser Cenobites. The Sect is creating quite a buzz in the Northeast and parts of the South, and with the recent nationwide release of their debut CD Gemination, world domination will soon ensue. |

Press Reviews
Outburn Magazine, Issue #17 [Octavia] / 01.15.02 / page 94 ::
"Upbeat Industrial Rock: Twin brothers, Xayne (bass,vox,programming [, & drums]) and Xevin (guitar,vox,programming [, & keys])... make up the mysterious The Geminus Sect. Creating six energized industrial rock tracks on this debut release, songs ranging from the catchy "H.E.D. (Human Elimination Device)" to the dark grime of "Slavior" and the punk energy "Lapse." Showing single potential is "Nothing is Real" with its strong, clean guitars and grinding groove. Another highlight is "Better off Dead" with crushing guitars and angry vocals. With a cyborg-gone-insane image and stirring songs, The Geminus Sect are sure to turn a few heads and attract some well deserved attention." |
