Artist History
In 1995, lead singer and trumpet player Brendan Stiles left SUNY Purchase and began scouring New York's music scene for hungry and explosive musicians to augment his powerfully dynamic vocal aptitude. Inspired by offerings from Bob Marley and Van Halen to Metallica and Bad Brains, Stiles' developed a unique combination of relentless energy and unpredictably outrageous conveyance, finally discovering Elysium in the seductive songwriting of Arthur Bacon, classical pianist and rock & roll bassist. Stimulated by a spectrum of artists from modern composers Sergei Prokofiev and Samuel Barber to consummate rockers The Police, Cheap Trick and The Ramones, Bacon's creative foci manifested themselves in lyrics, melodies and arrangements strikingly lockstep with Stiles' particular strengths. Subsequently, Bacon, his brother Nick, Stiles and drummer / Beatles fanatic, Gregg Sulzer formed THE DIVERS. When brother Nick left to form his own band, guitar wizard Craig LeBlang, former band mate of Stiles' was tapped to fill the vacuum and THE ERRATICS were formed. |
