Artist History
SweetDuration is lead vocalist Jennifer McBride, guitarist Mike McCullough, bass guitarist and vocalist Mzao "Mo" Waters, and drummer Scott Smith. Since early 1999, SweetDuration has been entertaining audiences all over the state of California, from clubs, festivals, county fairs, bars and coffee shops to charities, private and corporate parties, and even living rooms. In September 2001 the band took the next step and signed a deal with ROCK101 Promotions out of San Jose, and the company now promotes and manages the band while Jennifer, Mike, Mo and Scott focus on their music.
Since the release of their debut, full-length CD in July 2001, SweetDuration has earned the attention of some of the most popular commercial radio stations in northern California. Mix 106.5 KEZR-FM, one of the biggest AAA stations in the Silicon Valley, featured the band's song "Make Up Your Mind" on their New Music Showdown, and it received a high percentage of positive votes from listeners, even though they were up against favored major label artist Enya. In July 2001, SweetDuration performed at Mix 106.5 FM's "Listener Appreciation Day" concert at Raging Waters, a major theme park in San Jose, CA, which was heavily advertised by radio commercials, and since that day the band is frequently invited to showcase their music in many station events. As SweetDuration has begun to break into the San Francisco market, they have also been featured live on 107.7 "The Bone" radio's morning show (KSAN-FM), which boasts an average of approximately 100,000 listeners. Thanks to the help of Sheheshe Music Services, a radio promotion company out of Missouri, the band's CD is also getting airplay from 40-50 other radio stations across the United States as well. Don’t forget online radio—Val Starr, president of ChoiceRadio.com calls SweetDuration “a local and very promising San Francisco-based band in the adult alternative vein”, and has featured two of the band’s songs in top categories among the likes of Matchbox20 and Vertical Horizon.
SweetDuration's song "What We Could Be" has been selected to appear on Menagerie Entertainment's "Radio Circus" compilation CD volume 2, which features some of the most promising up-and-coming artists in California. The CD is scheduled to be released in mid-2002.
SweetDuration can currently be seen performing all over the state of California, and they plan on traveling beyond the boundaries of their home state soon. Be sure to check their website often for the latest news, performance dates and locations, and the band's management, ROCK101 Promotions, is always happy to share any additional information on this promising band.

Press Reviews
"If Jewel did an unplugged set with Paul Simon backing, and they decided to play an unadvertised show somewhere south of San Francisco, the result would probably not sound as good as Sweet Duration. This band has a lot going for it -- tight harmony, solid song structure, and a smooth sound -- and sooner or later the scene will eventually discover them."
