Artist History
Paul Thorn Paul has lived most of his life in Tupelo, MS, and is the son
of a Church of God minister. Like many artists before him he worked in a
factory by day and played in local clubs by night. This is where the
similarities with other local entertainers end. Paul started learning to
box under the tutelage of his uncle in local tournaments and developed
into a nationally ranked middleweight. Paul eventually landed a
nationally televised bout against four time champion Roberto |

Album Network By John Schoenberger March 19, 1999 Issue: 1035 Paul Thorn
Album: Ain't Love Strange Label: Perpetual Obscurity Artist: Paul Thorn
(vocals, guitar, percussion) What You Should Know: You most likely
remember the impressive debut album by Tupelo, Mississippi-based Paul
Thorn a couple of years ago on A&M- although it didn't get the attention
it deserved, it did leave a lasting impression on many of us. He's now
back on his own label with an album that's even stronger! Ain't Love
Strange features a diverse collection of songs that address the many
facets of love, lust, and devotion. Do yourself a favor and forget this
is an indie-release --- it's too good to pass up. Flash! Thorn has just
gotten the opening slot for the entire Jeff Beck Tour! Suggested Songs:
