Artist History
Mikroknytes are the third prototype of a Washington, DC group started more than 4 years ago. "Ex-Atari Kids" Derek Morton and Jeff Sprague formed Music Arch de Lux (MAL). Using a vast arsenal of guitar effects and cheap keyboards, the duo managed to coerce a dizzy array of kaleidoscopic beat and drone. Derek Morton's label released 10 split c-30 cassettes highlighting their project as well as other regional guest musicians such as Trans Am, Mark Robinson, Azusa Plane, and Teenbeat producer/engineer Rob Christiansen. |
