Press Reviews
Doing it themselves: Over the past year, fledgling New Jersey trio CHLOROPHYLL has managed to accomplish as much (if not more) than many of it’s major-label counterparts. Led by enigmatic singer Pat Jamieson, the band has issued an eponymous disc that weaves pure-pop hooks into dark, often aggressive modern rock musical arrangements. In our opinion, any label CHLOROPHYLL signs with will likely get the better end of the deal....Larry Flick – Billboard Magazine-----------------------------------------When I got a chance to see these guys live I realized that this is a very special band. Awesome people, awesome band - they blew me away! They actually made a room with only a fair PA sound great! I strongly recommend to anyone...they are a must see!...Chapin Hemphill-President.Netjammer.com----------------------------------------The first time I saw these guys I had to know who they were, the sound was incredible. The alternative sound I've been raving about is melodic vocals, hypnotizing guitar, and drums as well. You will not only find yourself humming to the lyrics, but recommending it to your friends. The songs that I love are SUNNY DAY SUICIDE and BATTLEFIELD, and THE WORLD. Check these guys out, their definitely worth it....Java's Indie Spotlight.----------------------------------------Chlorophyll has already found an audience for it's romantically sweetenedguitar pop- two of the unsigned band's singles are receiving airplay on a number of east coast modern rock stations. Marked by Pat Jamieson's soft, Jeff Buckley-like coo, Chlorophyll's self released debut leans heavily on the big, heart-tugging choruses and lightly on the guitar crunch....Colin Helms. College Music Journal----------------------------------------Their music, a photosynthesis of intelligent lyrics, deep dark melodies, and inspired vocals delivered with a style that is both refreshing and uplifting. Chlorophyll has garnered a lot of positive press and increased airplay, which is well deserved. Theyare definitely one of the more talented band's on today's scene....The Two River times |
