Artist description
12 string guitar played any-style over rock and indie directed music, all from the Blueside of Manchester UK. Heavily influenced by Genesis, Pink Floyd, Oasis, and the total absence of anything better in today's jaded music scene. Give my songs a try. Pink Floyd and Genesis fans please check 'Eclipsed'. Oasis fans please check 'Front Page News'. Cheers for stopping by. |

Artist History
Blueside grew up during the 70's and 80's when there was so much brilliant music around, whether the classic prog of Yes, Genesis and Pink Floyd through to the power pop of Frankie and Duran Duran! Nowadays though I'm not certain that contemporary music retains the same dynamics. So off the shelf came the 12 string and it was time to chip in with a few songs of our own. Live performances are a bit few and far between nowadays, due to the pressures of time and other thieves. Nice to have our own stuff on the web though! |

Blueside is a focus for the diverse songwriting style of Neil Haigh, allied as appropriate with the powerful contributions of Roger Pearson, Steve Dodd, Mike Lockett and Dave Lockett. Checkout the Swept Away CD for a fairly awesome collaboration with Mike (vocals) and Dave (guitars.) |

Press Reviews
www.listen.com: "Blueside play romantic pop which hints at progressive rock and oddly enough, bossa nova!" I couldn't have put it better myself guys. |
