Artist History
Astrid Flood's beginnings go back to the early 90's in Finland. After the band released theircd "Dreaming the World," Eliza headed back to the States, where she wanted to re-form the band. Moving to San Francisco in '95, she performed and recorded with the avant-garde band Fifty Foot Hose. Although inspired by the Hose's music, she continued to work on getting Astrid Flood re-formed. She then moved to the Chicago area, where she met guitarist Colin Bradford. They soon started writing and recording songs together. Colin has a deep background in classical music but has rocked with many bands, including Genius Hired Guns with members of Thought Industry, Doxie (Grass Records), and the wacky musicians Screwtape. Together, Eliza and Colinhave reignited the flame of Astrid Flood, breaking new musical ground. |
