Artist History
Alessandro Alessandroni is a film music composer that also worked with several other famous Italian colleagues (Nino Rota, Ennio morricone, Armando Trovajoli...).He was one of the few sitar players in Italy in the 60's and also his whistling and guitar techinques are so unique that he created a sort of trademark sound of "Spaghetti Western".He is also known for his legendary chorus (I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni, i.e. "Alessandroni's Modern Singers") who are featured in dozens of sondtracks but also accompaining several Italian pop music stars in the 60's.On this page you will find a CD plus some free downloads (and the whole album is available for free streaming, too!) presenting music from the Spaghetti Western movie "El Puro" plus more soundtracks and other compositions.Including a live recording of Ennio Morricone's legendary hit, "For a fistful of dollars". "The Alessandroni sound is 'The Sound' of the 'Spaghetti Western'. His guitar, whistle and chorus have become a legend, and this unique style is captured here (...) and remains today as it did all those years ago in the Sixties."(Roberto Zamori) |
