Artist History
Once, there was a deserted ice island which held very few living creatures. One of the few animals that lived there were a flock of penguins. This flock consisted entirely of only 5 penguins: Mussorgsky, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Stravinsky. These five penguins each had unique musical talents, but none of them would dare leave the island they called Paradise. But along with their considerable musical talents, each penguin had a physical defect of some sort. Tchaikosky was dyslexic, Beethoven only had one arm and Mozart was an unfortunate fan of the Grateful Dead. Despite these obvious difficulties, the flock of penguins thrived with their music. But one day, Stravinsky, crippled with myopia, fell off the Ice Island of Paradise into the waters below. The other penguins did not hear the fall, since they were either working on their own projects and were busy or, in Mussorgsky's case, he was deaf. Stravinsky fought the raging waters as best he could, but soon he went under, never to be heard from again. That is, until the fateful boat ride and scuba trip to the Ice Island of Paradise by none other than The Man Behind the Curtain. While taking one of his scuba trips, The Man, a certified diver and recent Lou Pearlman School of Manufactured Bands grad (summa cum laude), found the drowned Stravinsky near the shallow end of the island. The Man took him to the boat and gave the penguin CPR, The Man being a certified lifeguard in the state of California. Once resuscitated, Stravinsky saw that The Man had saved him and vowed to spend the rest of his life repaying him that offer. Once on the mainland, Stravinsky told The Man of his island and his music, which lit up The Man's eyes, him being a Pearlman School grad (summa cum laude). Immediately they went into a nearby studio which just so happened to have the proper equipment that Stravinsky used on the Island and he got to work, showing The Man what he could do. And the rest, as he says, is history. |
