Artist History
Atman is the solo musical project from Alessandro
Fronte, a 34 years old eclectic musician that has
been involved in musical acts of different nature
for many years, stating from the'80s.
Atman project started at the beginning of the '90s;
the music is consistently influenced from electronic
music together with many other instrumental music
traditions, and rely on cutting edge modern
technology. Nevertheless, Atman music diverges from the nearly "mechanical sounding"
electronic music you will often hear today.
A good balance of sequencing and programming,
real instrument play and improvisation, along
with the use of non-electronic instruments give
life to instrumental pieces that are at times
emotional, at times chilling, always solidly
built and with a distinctive human feel. |

||||[Finis Terrae #1]
__"Alessandro has put together some great tracks.
He indicates that this is the first of a new trilogy.
This new track shows some growth and sophistication that is a pleasure to hear.
I trust the rest of the trilogy will show the same growth and improvement. Enjoy." - Andy Schmidt for *Eclectic Connection* (March 2002)
__"This track has an interesting score. it brings to mind a final scene of great magnitude located out in space.
Composed well with the proper emotions for the application.
If your into spaced out electronic you should give a listen." - DK for *Music for your enjoyment* (April 2002)
__"Very well-produced ambient track with solid instrumentation and programming." - Dan Catlin for *MRC Records present Soundcarving* (May 2002)
__"This piece is definitely worth a listen, and you should check out the other two pieces that go with it. Score: 7.70" - Bill Wright, conclusion of the review for *GodsofMusic.com* (November 2002)
__"A very good song. Again check out this artists page to see what they have to offer! A song with a crisp clear sound and not too obtrusive." - *Enigmaitc Music* (December 2002)
||||[Finis Terrae #2]
__"Continuing where he left off with part 1, here we have more beautiful synths - atmospheric and moody, again, bringing to mind the music of bands like Tangerine Dream and Sad World." - Paul Nurminem for *Gloom-Beat* (August 2002)
__"Alessandro does these trilogies which he blends together with a few extra tweaks to create really impressive pieces. This is the middle track of his latest effort. It features some soaring synth lines behind a bell tone melody that's joined about midway by electric guitar. A fine centerpiece in the longer version - when you get the time." - Andy Schmidt for *Eclectic Connection* (August 2002)
||||[Finis Terrae #3]
__"Continuing where he left off with part 2, the music here starts out slowly, in a nice tranquil arrangement; with parts dropping in and out of the mix - including a section where it's almost entirely bell sounds, followed by the return of the guitar from part 1. After this, the synths return, and the song finishes in a soft but beautiful climax." - Paul Nurminem for *Gloom-Beat* (August 2002)
||||[Volo #1]
__"Beautiful mix of classical music with ambient space" - *Climate* (October 2002)
||||[Lontano]
__"As with many of his tracks, there is a dreamy, floating quality to the music, possibly even moreso than some. The echoing guitar harmonic arpeggios, with the other effects that drift in and out, serve as an interesting background to the drifting solo guitar line. A very effective 'mood builder'." - Andy Schmidt for *Eclectic Connection* (February 2003)
__"Striking use of Guitar harmonics and melody in a soothing ambient piece." - *Ambient Healers* (February 2003)
__"Composing this way is not an accident. Lontano is a lovely amalgam of sonic delights.
The music is uplifting, overflowing with mystery, and totally enchanting. Score: 9.20" - Kenny Croes for *Gods of Music* (February 2003)
||||[Morpheus #3]
__"Alessandro finishes off another trilogy with this track mixing ambient electronics and guitar to produce an etheric track that, while short, echoes Michael Oldfield at his best." - Andy Schmidt for *Eclectic Connection* (October 2003)
