Artist History
Krystina has been singing, dancing and performing her entire life. Even as a young child in New Jersey she had a passion for entertaining; from that early age she has focused her efforts on developing those skills with the knowledge that one day she would sing professionally.
Her early style was eclectic, influenced by such diverse performers as Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson and Julie Andrews. During her school years she expressed and honed this style in school plays, musicals, talent shows and choirs. At 16 she began working with a vocal coach, and subsequently established her first rock band singing cover songs at college parties and other local events. One year later, Krystina formed a second rock band to perform original material in local clubs. She also recorded her first demo album entitled “Bad Man Blind.”
After graduating from high school, Krystina moved to California to pursue her career as a solo singing artist. She joined a local southern California band and started to perform at parties and local clubs. She won an award for “Best Song” for a piece she co-wrote and performed with this band on a local pop/rock show. During this period, she continued to hone her performance skills through weekly voice lessons (she is currently with Lis Lewis), acting lessons and recording sessions.
In 1998, Krystina became a member of a 4 member R&B group called the “Vice Girls.” Together with the group she released an album that was sold through Tower Records and Virgin Records stores. The band then promoted the album through numerous TV, radio and live appearances. Krystina has also written and scored many of her own original songs, and produced them with Producers Billy Griffin, John Barnes, Ken Verhoeven and Bryan Hall. Krystina now has 3 demo albums and numerous singles to her credit.
Krystina is currently performing in a local Broadway review show entitled “Two Voices, One Broadway”. In it she sings numbers from many popular musicals, including Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, Lion King, and The Wiz. She has also recently co-written and performed the lyrics for a commercial and opening score for a Discovery Channel Cooking show called “Cooking in the Kitchen with Juan.” The program will be broadcast in January 2002.
Krystina has established herself as a very serious and dedicated performer, and has developed considerable experience as a singer/songwriter in the process. She not only has the talent, passion, and drive which is necessary for success, but also has the charismatic magnetism found in only a rare group of gifted performers. With this energy, beauty, and relentless drive, Krystina is destined to become one of the top performing artists of this decade.
