CINEPLEXX POSOLOGIA (CAIPIRINHA CD 99) Sebastian Litmanovich (aka Cineplexx) has been listening to and creating music since his childhood in Buenos Aires. At age 8, he was given a small Casio organ, the first of a wide (and widening) array. Through the years, his intuition told him to hold on to such "nasty sounding little toy organs", and he uses them to this day (along with whatever other instruments he finds at his disposal, acoustic, electronic, or otherwise) to create his distinctive, intuitive sonic collage. Preferring the freedom and solitude of his own personal space to the sometimes oppressive environment of a professional studio, Sebastian creates his alternate musical reality on a simple 4-track recorder. The resulting low fidelity of these recordings lends a warmth and character that serves to deepen the listener's intimacy with the music and the emotion with which it was created. All sounds have visual counterparts, and Cineplexx uses sound to its fullest potential to create landscapes that exist only in the mountains and valleys of the mind. This is what Cineplexx is all about - the exploration of these ethereal places. Sebastian takes all of his musical influences (which includes such diverse sounds as Miles Davis, Juan Atkins, the Beatles, "or whatever") and drops them into a musical blender to create his first album "Posologia", an unclassifiable yet mesmerizing concoction of techno, ambient, jazz, post-rock, and a million other genres that seemingly shouldn't go together...but when it comes to Cineplexx, they do. The end result is an intriguing musical realm that beckons the listener deeper and deeper into Sebastian's own musical catharsis. iara lee (caipirinha music) Some of the newspapers and magazines who wrote review about Cineplexx are: EYE magazine, Rollingstone Magazine, Les Inrockuptibles, Diario Clarin (most important newspaper in spanish language), Pagina 12, Alternative Press, Tokyo Journal, & more. Cineplexx also had some interviews by Rock & Pop (most important radio station in Argentina), Dejavu radio show & Tv Channel "A" Here are some (bad) translations of some press clips: RETIRING '99 (Eye magazine) Notable moments from the Last Year by ANDRE MAYER ALBUMS THAT REFUSED TO RETURN TO THEIR JEWEL CASES: Basement Jaxx's Remedy, Cineplexx's Posologia, Cul de Sac's Crashes to Light, Minutes to its Fall, David Kristian's Beneath the Valley of the Modulars, Labradford's E Luxo So, Olivia Tremor Control's Black Foliage, Andrea Parker's Kiss My Arp, Peace Orchestra, Peanut Butter Wolf's My Vinyl Weighs a Ton, Pole's CDs 1 and 2...
