Artist description
As any true art form should, this music is not
confined to genre or demographic. It is very
human music excluding no one mind from its
reward. That "reward" being a highly stimulating
listening experience, thought provoking imagery,
and ultimately the reassurance that mankind has
yet to travel many unexplored regions of the vast
ocean of sound and song. Most importantly,
however, is the simple feeling of happiness
and optimism that comes from the union of
artist and observer. It is simply good for
the soul. Animalcule is a bit of an enigma.
A riddle of a band that has apparently come
out of nowhere and plays music like nobody
else does. Their methods are as unique as
their sound. They have never played a cover
song and never intend to. They do things a
bit differently. They write all of their own
material and the type of material is often
epic and sensational. They arrange their own
gigs, which are more aptly titled "concerts" or
"events" They put on multimedia extravaganzas
in highbrow, interesting and intimate venues.
Every time people catch wind of the upcoming
Animalcule concert, they get excited. With
often extravagant stage set-ups and experimental
light shows, the band always gives the audience
something special. Couple the visuals with
powerful, soaring music and incredible
improvisational pieces, and you've got
yourself a show to remember. They set out to
blow minds and consistently succeed. They take
the listener somewhere.. else.

Press Reviews
"Animalcule is one of those rare examples,
those synchronous moments in the cosmos,
when musical discovery meets spiritual
exploration. As a child of the 60's, I can't
begin to explain how music with method and
lyrics with meaning restore my faith in
coming generations. There is hope, and
Animalcule lets us have a proper peek at it."
- Pete Coller (Midwest Music Review)
"Animalcule is very odd."
-The Monkey Music Newsletter (Chicago)
"The best psychedelic music in the city and
probably in the Tri-State area."
- Trisha Lee (The Sioux Falls Tempest)
"Sometimes when I listen to Animalcule I end
up with a small, square-shaped crap in my pants."
-Karen Burrows (The Omaha World Herald)
"I've never heard another unsigned local band sound so professional
and so incredibly different. This band is really
going places, that is if the world is ready to go with them.
