Artist History
Alex Ford began recording under the name Nyquist in 1999 after spending years playing the guitar in rock (Menace), indie (Alive) and punk (Noisy Slutz from Hell) bands. In September 2000 he moved from Nottingham to Brussels where he began working more seriously on the Nyquist project and continued to develop his own style, which mixes live guitar playing with trip hop beats, analogue synths and psychedelic production.
In 2001, Nyquist began working with Belgian vocalist Nadeen Minampala adding her soulful vocals and passionate lyrics to Nyquist’s previously instrumental songs to create a unique mix of soul, rock, ambient and trip hop.
The first Nyquist album has now been completed and is available through mp3.com. It features 5 songs recorded with Nadeen and 5 instrumentals. Nyquist is currently looking for someone to release his material and is also available for composing, production, remixing work. |
