Artist History
How do a trio of no-named college kids transform
into one of the biggest local rock bands in Chicago?
Well, the answer to that question we still cannot
figure out, but Triple Lindie did it. With a few
local shows and a record deal on the way, the guys
from TL are living it up. "We're just doing what
we love to do," claims Perri. "It's funny because
I had a dream one night that Kane was singing and
playing guitar, Jon was drumming, and I played bass...
and somehow we ended up on TRL...go figure." Well
they might not be on TRL just yet, but they are
definitely progressing. "When I got home in Bartlett
this summer," Kane says, "I was in a big depression
because my girlfriend broke up with me, so I started
writing these songs to vent out my feelings and
emotions. I have all the sad, slow, piano-potential,
breakup songs to go along with the angry 'how can you
do this to me' songs. And then Jon mixes his love songs
for his girlfriend, and we have one messed up album."
"One minute your laughing, and the next
minute you want to dig yourself a hole to cry in,"
Cordell states. Cordell has been raised in a music family.
"My dad played the drums, so then he got my older
brother Chris into it [drums]. Then I picked
up guitar when I was in the 5th grade, and I've
been practicing guitar and drums ever since."
Kane has been playing guitar for almost 2 years now.
"I got an acoustic Seagull for Christmas in 1999,
and I picked it up quick," Kane says. "I played piano
a little bit when I was younger." Perri has
been practicing bass for about 4 years. "Kane and
I don't let the years of music experience hold us
back, we just do what we want until we got it."
Nothing is holding them back. They will start recording
their album this summer.
