Artist description
Since its inception in November of 2000, The Nightshift have come a long way. Starting out by playing NYSJE, Scofflaws and Skatalites covers, the band has matured greatly and developed a distinct instrumental sound that makes them unique. Currently an 8-piece, the band has already gone through some lineup changes but are content at the current lineup. The sound is a minor-key instrumental big-band ska-jazz sound, mixing the traditional ska and reggae of the Skatalites with more contemporary ska-jazz sensations like Victor Rice or Skavoovie & the Epitones. |
