Artist description
Punk - i refrain from calling us pop-punk because that term is so fucking overused. The best way to know what we sound like is to download a song. If you like any of our musical influences, then you'll probably like what we play. |

Artist History
The band was started by me, Nick Carr, in 1999 as The Ridgemonts. We played solely cover songs at the time, ranging from NoFX to The Monkees. Then we all graduated from high school and moved on to different places.
I reorganized the band at college, adding Pat Feghali on bass and Wonsoo Byun on drums. At first, we played half covers, half songs written by me. I was afraid at the time that people would think my songs sucked, and that we had to get them in the mood to listen to them by pleasing their ear with Weezer tunes - luckily, after our first few shows, I gained a bit of confidence and now we mainly play songs written by me.
Oh yeah. So I found out that there was another band called The Ridgemonts - maybe they're just Ridgemonts. I dont know. I gotta say that we had that name long before they did, but they put out an album under that name, so it is officially there's. Besides, I think Susie's Neighbor is a signficantly better name. Don't know what it means? You're not thinking hard enough.
Songs are about girls (the ones on this website are about one girl in particular, and no, her name is not Jenny - I do have the decency to change names to protect the innocent).
Download and tell us what you think - we'd love to hear. |
