Artist History
Studio 64 was created by the fusion of three songwriters who, in the past have enjoyed various successes with their own projects, came together to launch themselves on the music scene.
Studio 64 is a trio made up of two brothers, Steven and Mark Payne, and are joined by singer/songwriter Mark Denby. They formed twelve months ago after meeting at Music College in Manchester.
Before this happened, the two brothers, who originate from Salford, were fronting a rock band named ‘Departed’ that was enjoying a lot of success showcasing their songs live around the North West of England. Everything was going well but they always thought that something was missing from the project.
In came Mark Denby, a singer/songwriter from Stockport who has already enjoyed massive success as a solo artist. Mark wanted a new challenge and now has it through Studio 64.
The band’s musical style can best be described as melodic, acoustic based rock/pop. There is a combination of infectious melodies and captivating, strong songwriting delivered with ease by the Manchester based trio. There is a great blend of creative and solid instrumentation to support the unique vocal combination of Steven Payne and Mark Denby.
The band already have a huge catalogue of fantastic songs and have been showcasing them throughout the UK, including the Trafford Centre and Manchester’s famous Band on the Wall. The live experience continues, so for information on upcoming shows check out the web site |
