Artist History Paying tribute and much respect to a fallen angel. On May 19, 2002, Raven Enigma's life came to end. No details are being given about her death out of respect for her and her surviving family members. Raven was born in Seattle, Washington on May 23, 1981. She was raised up in church most of her life. Before going under the name "Raven", she just went by Erica. At the age of 14 she was influenced by her father to change her stage name to "Raven". He said, "She sung like a bird with attitude". At age 17, Raven met "The Infamous Psychopath" a man who help mold her into the image and style she had before her death. Psychopath soon changed his name to Nomad Enigma because it matched his persona. Eventually after much mentorship, pre-productions, studio sessions, and mix downs, Raven added the "Enigma" to her name which set the pitch for her tone as Raven Enigma. Raven and Nomad were then like brother and sister working countless hours in the studio, sometimes sleeping in the studio and waking up just to pump out more songs. Raven gave her all to Nomad, and Nomad did the same in return. At one point, Nomad put his own projects aside and Solely produced all of Raven's music. Co-Engineered by "Espionage", Nomad Produced a potential hit for Raven called "Reality". The song "Reality", reached many big players in the industry. Raven Enigma was offered a contract with RCA but declined the offer because she felt as if Nomad Enigma, X-Factor, and Espionage had molded her into into what she was. Nomad pleaded with her over the phone while he was in the phillipines to take the record deal, but she refused to be signed as a solo artist. Raven's last studio session was on May 19, 2002 on one of Nomad's tracks called "Omega Plague." Raven will definitely be missed by many.
