Artist History Chris McCarty was born in Rochester, MN on Valentines Day, 1979. Music and musical instruments were always present in his home and at age 15, Chris began to teach himself to play guitar. Influencing his style and tastes in music are artist that span across time and musical genres, with an exception for country music, although he is a fan of the Garth Brooks song, She's Every Woman. Chris began to focus his admiration for others songs and wrote his first song, Every Night, at age 16. His growing talents in singing, guitar playing and song writing, led him to publicly showcase his ability with the band Logan Tree. During his time spent with Logan Tree, Chris led the band to the runner-up position in the Conan O'Brien National College Band Search in 1999. Following the break-up of Logan Tree, Chris quickly began assembling a new group of players and writing new material. As Chris continues to write, he is fulfilling his goals and passions about music. His love of music pushes him to succeed in exploring the depths of guitar, bass, drums, percussion, harmonica, and piano.
