Artist description Voices Poetry is a group of spoken word artists whos mission is to develop and expand the art of spoken word poetry, further expose spoken word poetry artist both nationally/internationally, establish the foundation for the industry of self expression, and do so in a profitable manner.

Music Style Voices Poetry produces music featuring the spoken word style of poetry accompanied by music with and Urban/R&B sound.

Musical Influences Voices tracks are influenced by all types of music including Hip Hop, R&B, Techno/House, Jazz, Classical, and foreign music.

Similar Artists Currently, there are'nt many artist who have the sound Voices has created, due to the unique blend of a variety of music coupled with the spoken word art form.

Artist History The members of Voices Poetry have been performing at, hosting, and promoting poetry events for over 3 years. To date, the Voices Team has well over 15 years experience in the area of poetry - collectively. Two years ago, Voices current members began attending the same Open Mic Poetry Night, which at the time was hosted and produced by the companies current President and CEO, as well as one of the companies artist - Poetess Crystal. Voices CEO made the decision to endeavor to reach a greater audience via the radio waves and CD production. Two of the hottest poets from the companies Open Mic Poetry Night were recruited, and recording started in the studios of ATIVISM Entertainment Inc., Springfield MA., in the fall of 2000. With the help of Producer Michael Grant, Voices Poetry is poised to make it's best attempt at bringing spoken word poetry to mainstream America, and with God's blessings, the rest of the world.
