Artist History
Despite my parents' desperate attempts to teach me in my early days to play the piano and the violin, I always was looked upon in my family as 'not so talented musically' child. Unlike my sister who was born with absolute music hearing and became a rather good pianist and a soprano (1st and 2nd) in quite distinguished choir.
Born and brought up in Moscow, though having European roots (look up my website), I was continuously participating in various musical projects as a lead singer singing everything from jazz to blues and romances. "The Lovers", "Moscow Blues Trust", "Last Hopes of Rock", "D.P.Zhmot", "Suicide Inside" - none of those groups lasted longer than a couple of years. Finally, totally disillusioned, I gave up all musical experiments and concentrated more on painting, writing, business and life. However, some inner need to express my feelings through sound kept letting me know about itself - and thus was born Leopanda :) A rather eccentric character and a mix of my two totem animals. |
