Artist description
Casper Loma-Da-Wa is a young Hopi singer who has created a sound that combines his native roots with the positive vibes of Reggae music. Casper's music is filled with hope and power. The words are a reflection of his own philosophy on life, influenced by the sounds of Reggae music and traditional Hopi culture.
Growing up on the reservation Casper was raised on traditional music and the traditional ways, learning to live in harmony with the Great Spirit. When he first heard reggae something in the rhythm connected with the traditional music on which he had been raised: "The message of awareness and responsibility made me open my eyes." |

Press Reviews
"The singer's passion sets your heart on fire. He sings in a Jamaican patois as thick as a jungle vine and undoubtedly resistant to any Babylon machete that would try to cut off its message of unity and suffering. The one-drop "riddims" are deep enough to echo the beating of the Earth Mother's heart, and the band crackles with energy. The music is a potent blend of roots reggae, dancehall, and DJ, Jamaica's own brand of rap."
