Artist History With over 75 shows under their belts (December, 2002), the members of 5 Days Ahead have brought their driving energy and talent to many stages throughout the east coast and Philadelphia area. Sharing the stage with bands such as: The Starting Line, Brand New, The Early November, and Coheed and Cambria (just to name a few), has helped establish a large regional and national fan base, that is continuing to grow. The band formed in early May, 2001. After only two short months, they headed into the studio to record their debut CD/EP entitled, “Broken Dreams and Pictures of You.” Nine-hundred of the original one-thousand CDs pressed, have already been sold, and select songs from the CD have contributed to over 25,000 downloads on mp3.com to date (http://www.mp3.com/5daysahead). In February of 2002, 5 Days Ahead teamed up with PumpkinEater Records (http://www.pumpkineaterrecords.com/), a new record label out of Iselin, NJ. Thanks to their friendly support, new and necessary elements were provided, such as t-shirts, stickers, hoodies, and last but not least, promotion and distribution throughout the country and various parts of the world. In addition, 5 Days Ahead has recently finished recording, mixing, and mastering a 13-track full-length follow-up CD titled, “As Life Passes You By,” under the guidance and support of their new label. With the knowledgeable sound production work of Vince Ratti at The Skylight (Fairless Hills, PA), the new recording came out great. Nearing their second-year anniversary coming in May of 2003, 5 Days Ahead remains completely devoted to promoting and performing their music to numerous fans and listeners abroad. With the help of their supporting friends, family, fans, and listeners, their dreams of becoming recognized on a greater level, will hopefully come true one day.
