Sometimes Y finds itself on debut album
By C.E. Hanifin
I've just played my copy of sometimes Y's album, I AM for the umpteenth thime and I feel compelled to share my opinion with you. This album has fantastic production qualities and has a very powerful atmosphere. It's difficult to say what other recordings are comparable, but the way I could describe it is that it the first album of the 21st Century to make an impact with me. I saw the group perform in Madison, Wisconsin at the beginning of January (2000) and that is where I got their disc. I've been listening to it ever since. Every time I listen I hear something different and it really makes my stereo sound awesome! As a musician I also can hear the detail that went into the recording. All I can say is it's an incredible album and it's worth any audiophile or musician to have in their music collection. It also doesn't hurt that the lead vocalist, Lora Nigro, is a real knowckout. |
