Artist description
With his many musician friends, including Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady, (the late) John Lee Hooker, Levon Helm and Nick Gravenites, Pete, has crafted an album of eighteen songs that Rock straight ahead and also take you on a journey through american musical styles fr om the South. Mississippi, New Orleans, Kentucky and the old Southwest of Tom Doniphan and "Liberty Valance".
Included on The Long Haul and MP3.com is an amazing collaberation with John Lee Hooker on "Elizabeth". Hooker sang with his unmistakeable you-you-you phrasing and played some guitar on the track, a rarity for him. Davey Pattison's brings his edgy vocals on "12 Long Years And No Parole", a clever attack on the absurdity of the country's marijuana laws and "Darien", one of two songs co-written by Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter.
This eclectical collection of music is avialable at Tower Records (June 26, 2001 street date) both in stores and online.

Artist History
Born and raised in England, Sears, who co-founded the Jefferson Starshhip, now with Hot Tuna, came to Marin County in the San Francisco Bay area in the British Rock Invasion of the late '60's and early '70's and has worked with everyone from Rod Stewart to Leftover Salmon during a career that has spanned over 30 years.
